Registration Information and Event Kit
The inaugural 2026 McCracken 22 Putting Northern California Championship is a limited field event. Once you have the 2-4 players required to hold a Local Qualifier (LQ), you can fill out the registration form located on the bottom of this page. To help secure your spot, you can contact your PGA Head PGA Golf Professional/Tournament Director or email dave@mccracken22putting.com.
Event Kit
Once you have registered, you will receive an Event Kit that will include:
- Custom Scorecards
- 2 Measuring Tapes (5-feet long)
Advancing To Championship
This is a rare opportunity for amateurs and golf professionals alike, to represent their golf club in a championship event that has partnered with the Northern California Section of the PGA of America Foundation. The event will raise charitable funds for the Northern California PGA Foundation's HOPE Program.
Advancing — Amateurs
The winner of each LQ will advance directly to the Championship Finals. In a four-player LQ, the players will play a round-robin format. The player that has the most wins will advance to the finals. If it is a 2-player LQ, then they will play heads-up against each other, best of 2-out-of-3-games, and the winner will advance.
Advancing — Professionals
Golf professionals that are members of the PGA of America, and hold a LQ for amateurs at their golf course or any other facility, will advance directly to the Championship Finals.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the tie-breaker, every point is important. Even if a player is losing a game, those points are critical as they may be needed as part of the tie-breaker.
Payment Methods For 2026
The entry fee to play in a Local Qualifier is $50. The PGA Golf Professional/Tournament Director will collect $50 from each player and send in one payment of $200 (four-player LQ) or $100 (two-player LQ).
There will be two options for payment:

Championship Finals
The Championship Finals will be held at Diablo Creek GC, the "Home of the McCracken 22 Putting Challenge". Diablo Creek is a public golf course located in Concord, CA and the putting green is open to all players to practice. You may also hold your LQ event at Diablo Creek GC if you need a venue. There will be no entry fee for players participating in the 2026 Championship Finals.
Each player will receive the following:
- Tee Prize
- Amateur Prize Money: Amateur players will compete for a total cash/merchandise purse of $1,000 with the winner taking home the 1st Place trophy and $400.
- Professional Prize Money: PGA Golf Professionals will compete for a total cash purse of $1,000 with the winner taking home the 1st Place trophy and $400.
- Lunch at the Legends located at Diablo Creek
